A NEWLINE OF POST COACHES

from STAUNTON to the OHIO

RIVER  at Parkersburg

 

This Line leaves Staunton every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1 o’clock, P.M.  Leaves Parkersburg same days at 4 o’clock, A.M., and runs through in 3 ½ days, passing thro the counties of Highland, Pocahontas, Randolph, Barbour, Lewis, Gilmer, Ritchie, and Wood, without any night travel, connecting with the different stage lines leaving Staunton, and the regular Mail Boats from Wheeling to Cincinnati at Parkersburg.  

Passengers going West can go as cheap from Parkersburg to Cincinnati or any other point on the western waters, as they can from Guyandotte.

This line offers inducements to the traveling public, as the cheapest and most expeditious, being one day in advance of any other line to the Ohio, and over the finest graded road in Virginia. 

Fare through - $13

And no charge made for any reasonable amount of Extra Baggage.

             The traveling expenses along this Line are only one-half of what is charged on other lines, and good accommodations. 

            Stage Office at Mc Clung’s Hotel, Staunton, and Stephenson’s Hotel, Parkersburg.
